I continue to be dismayed and disheartened by the facile way in which Western Christians manage to ignore the Gospel teachings, not only observing suffering in a detached way from our relatively safe shores, but sometimes actively repulsing those who desperately need our help. And of course, in a country like America, this becomes governmentla policy as well. Thanks for writing this.
